Just a few pictures for you from our weekend.

There is so much to do in Chattanooga, but this weekend, when we were at Lookout Mountain for my dad and Gerrit to do some hang gliding, we just spent a morning there.  We poked into the little shops in the North Shore district, walked along the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge, and watched families playing in Coolidge Park.

I’d love to go back and hit some of the spots I haven’t been to since my childhood: The Chattanooga Aquarium, Ruby Falls, Rock City.  But for just a morning of killing a bit of time before lunch, exploring a new (to me) place of adorable shops and admiring the scenery of the mountains meeting the river was perfect.

(And for lunch we drove over to Tupelo Honey Cafe, which is perhaps my favorite restaurant ever…just so that’s on the record.)

  1. I have never been to Chattanooga, but I love the shot with the bridge and the hills in the background. We are getting a Tupelo Honey Cafe in Raleigh soon – can’t wait!!
